Memorial Weekend: New Items

The second sale of the year has begun! And just like the first sale, Memorial Day has a lot of brand new items appearing on the catalog! After all, in those 50 items that will be featured in the sale some of them must be new right?

According to many Roblox official posts there will be many new items such as new wings, new hair, new headphones, new swords. And guess what? They were right! Although there were a lot more than just that. Faces, packages, caps, and plungers could be all seen scattered across the catalog! Memorial Day: What to Expect

Memorial Day has finally arrived! With it comes a lot of brand new items on the catalog. The sale is happening from the 27 up until the 30. That means there will be a lot of things happening. Roblox has been kind enough to share with us some information regarding the sale.

There are four main info providers: Roblox Notification in Messages (where the picture comes from), the Roblox Blog and its video, the Twitch Stream, and the Twitter of Roblox and some of its employees. So what's in store for us?

Both the blog and notification mention over 50 items being featured in the huge sale. This includes new items, price discounts, items going back on sale, items going limited, and brand new limiteds.

Mid-week Update: 5/25

There were a couple things that I forgot to mention in my Pre Memorial Day Weekend article but that didn't seem to fit in with the article so I didn't update it. However there were a couple new things that during the week and now it makes sense to write an article summing up all the minor and not so minor changes that have happened in the catalog.

Finding Dory Promotional Item

A brand new promotional event has arrived. And with it a brand new wave of items. Or a single wave of one item. This item it's another movie that reminds me of the good ol' days.

There once was a movie called 'Finding Nemo' about a dad clown fish who teamed up with a blue fish to find his son (not really a spoiler, if you ever went on the internet you'd probably know by now) and now there will be a movie about (at least that's what the trailer suggests) a blue fish that is teamed up with two clown fish and tries to find her family. Everybody I introduce to you: Finding Dory!

Dory Headphones

With these seashell headphones from the seashore you can hear the ocean AND awesome tunes. Be sure to see Finding Dory in theatres June 17 in 3D

The first and only item that came out for the event are the Dory Headphones which are Free, like all the other promotional items. And already on the first day these freebie headphones ranked up 156k+ sales. Basically a lot. People really want this movie to come out. Now the headphones themselves are pretty average. Nice blue, cool picture of Dory, advertisement logo and release date on the other side... I think that if Dory was on both white sea shells it would have looked better though, but maybe it's just me. Although, the sea shells aren't really the best looking ones to begin with. But that doesn't really matter that much, You're just supposed to know what they are and I think it's clear enough. These headphones are also a lot like the Angry Birds' Headphones. As in they leave so much space between your head and the actual headphones that you can fit a baseball cap in there. Although this time the headphone band is more square.

This seems like a great opportunity for more items and judging from the leaks on RBXLeaks' twitter there is a lot more planned. Maybe since there already is a promotional event going on (Angry Birds) there aren't releasing all of them. Hopefully they'll release more items in June (I noticed a pattern that Roblox has an event every month) and this time maybe have some of the item as game prizes???

Pre Memorial Day Weekend

There's only one week left before the enormous Memorial Day sale but Roblox won't wait until then.

A weekend is a weekend so without further ado, ladies and gentleman, these are the 8 brand new hats (Nobody can buy Ruby Eyes so there isn't really any point to reviewing it) and 2 new faces that came out this weekend!

Angry Bird Promotional Items

Another day in Roblox and another sponsor. This time it's the brand new Angry Birds Movie (in theaters May 20)!

And as Roblox says, this means that they are bringing Irate (which means "feeling or characterized by great anger", I had no idea this word existed even) Headphones and a Mask of Red. Which in simple terms means you can buy headphones and the main protagonist's (Red) head. But unlike most of the other promotional events this one just allows you to buy the items instead of earning them in game. Even though Angry Bird's apparently sponsored Miners Haven... ON TO THE REVIEWS

Friday 13 Weekend

May happened to be the first and only month in 2016 that happens to have Friday fall on the 13. Yea, that's right. The Spooky Friday the 13!

And for this occasion Roblox decided to celebrate with 10 brand new items. Most of them having something to do with a luck theme and two that are extremely hard to figure out what theme they are under (we're looking (no pun intended) at you Eyefly: Neon Green Shutter Shades).
